Hi, I am in my 11th year as Director of Athletics/Activities at ISM. My wife is the MS Asst Principal at ISM and I have 2 children one who graduated class of '18 and the other who will be in gr. 12 in SY 18-19. IASAS Swimming Housing:

Final plea for help needed from our Sailfish swimming community…. We still require 36  20  12 (updated Jan 17th) slots to host IASAS swimmers. Almost all of our varsity Swim Team Members have submitted forms to house, but we will still need more beds.

It is a great opportunity for young swimmers to be around Varsity swimmers and get an idea of the IASAS experience. Please pick up a form from the pool office or from Joan and Triz in the ATAC office, or get the form from the ATAC blog.

Thankyou in anticipation of your support to make this a great event for our community.

Get meet mobile to keep up to date!

Sailfish swimmers and parents see this link to keep up to date with Sailfish meet events/results MeetMobile2Flyer This will be in operation for Nov 30th ISM meet and for IASAS in February.

Please submit housing forms if you can host a pair of IASAS swimmers. We need support from the Sailfish community, ES/MS and HS families are welcome to house, the IASAS kids are great, yes they will eat alot (they are swimmers after all) but they are wonderful kids to have in your home for a few evenings. See links on Sailfish and ATAC blog for housing letters. We will also have letters available fo you to fill in at tomorrows meet.

Good luck to all swimmers racing Saturday, Go Sailfish!

IASAS Swim meet update

Dear Sailfish Families, ISM is proud to be hosting the IASAS Swimming Championships Feb 5-9, 2014.

We are required to house 120 swimmers from the visiting IASAS Schools. Varsity swim team members are required to house but we will certainly need more help from our Sailfish and ISM wide community to acquire all the housing slots. Please see the information/housing letter available at this link.

It is not too early to fill out a form and submit it to the ATAC office. We have a wonderful facility to host this event but we have to be able to house our visiting swimmers. Please print/fill up a form and support the IASAS swim meet at ISM

Note* the ISM Fall swim meet cancelled last Saturday due to the signal 2 over Metro Manila has been rescheduled to Sat Nov 30th!

Pool Renovation update

Welcome back Sailfish swimmers. Our new swimming facility upgrade is nearing completion and Sailfish training will hopefully commence week beginning Aug 19th. Confirmation of this will be posted the first week of school via Sailfish blog and on school notice boards. Coach Holly and her team of coaches are eagerly awaiting your return to the pool. If you are a new student to ISM who is keen on swimming check out the information on the Sailfish swim team blog or talk with Coach Holly at the ES PE office in the ES gym.

More announcements about an exciting year of Sailfish swimming will be coming out soon!

Farewell Coach Andy

As ISM winds down into the summer break it is a bitter sweet time with people looking forward to the summer vacation but it also means farewell time for departing students/faculty and coaches. One person who will be greatly missed around our school is Coach Andy. Andy and his family are moving to Amsterdam and will have an exciting European adventure setting up a new home and Sophie will be starting a new company with the backing of a multi national partner.

Andy’s enthusiasm and love for coaching swimming is endless..he lives and breathes it and he has been a huge part in developing a strong and vibrant Sailfish swim team program over his 5 years at ISM. We thank him for the many hours he has spent poolside over the past 5 years coaching the sport he loves and passing on his knowledge to our young swimmers.

All the very best to Coach Andy, Sophie, Pim and Menno in their next big adventure and thankyou on behalf of ISM ATAC office, Sailfish swimmers and parents for your contribution to ISM.
